Destination Wedding at Hacienda Siesta Alegre
Details, Details, Details
Planning a destination wedding in Puerto Rico doesn’t have to mean skipping out on details. Once I arrived to Hacienda Siesta Alegre and began the getting ready photos, I was fangirling over Danielle and Drew’s styling. The stationery and vow books had me swooning and the groom’s maroon suit was EVERYTHING. Danielle’s accesories and selection of dry flowers for her bouquet went along perfectly with her dress.
A Rainy Ceremony at Hacienda Siesta Alegre
Being nested in El Yunque Rainforest, a little rain at the Hacienda isn’t uncommon (there IS a plan B indoors). Minutes into the ceremony, it started pouring but the ceremony went on, bride and groom still enthused. Everybody remained in their seats until Danielle and Drew did the most triumphant exit. I overheard the guests saying “That was memorable for sure” and I agree! In over 10 years, I had never witnessed a wedding where not one of the guests cared about the rain.
Private Vow Exchange After the CeremonyAfter a short walk around the Hacienda for newlywed portraits, the bride and groom went to a secluded area to read their handwritten vows to each other. The videographer and I documented the moment from afar to give the newlyweds privacy.
I loved how D&D kept this one moment all to themselves, it was very touching!
