Planning an Engagement Session in Puerto Rico

“I have to say I’m OBSESSED with your work! I’m recently engaged and stumbled upon your Instagram…” Okay, I light up when I read messages like this, I confess. Even more when I realize it comes from a graphic designer. Being chosen by another visual artist just gives you a little boost.

Dicussing engagement session ideas, Cat let me know she wanted El Yunque as their location. She hadn’t been able to visit with her fiance Kamil during their previous visit to the island. It would be extra special, as it would be Kami’s first time visiting a rainforest.

Engagement Photos at El Yunque Waterfall

Since the photoshoot would happen during a weekend and we wanted to visit a waterfall, I suggested starting during the morning. It was a bright, HOT day but Cat & Kamil’s sunny disposition made it all easier. I always recommend taking a dip into the pools as an added experience (plus unique pictures) and C&K — nature lovers after all — were up for it . After visiting one of the less crowded rivers, we headed to Juan Diego Falls. It was full of tourists as expected, but we still managed to have a few minutes of it for ourselves. Cat and Kami, thank you for trusting me as your guide to El Yunque Rainforest. It was a pleasure adventuring with you!
