After Hurricane María hit Puerto Rico, it had been months since I worked in Old San Juan. Visiting the same location multiple times a month can surely become a routine. Re-visiting what’s been my office of 6+ years and seeing it with refreshed eyes, was love at first sight all over again. I was lucky enough to share this experience with Orlando & Verónica, a high-spirited, down to earth couple with an amazing chemistry. When I asked about how they met, I was excited to find out they’re high school sweethearts. In bride-to-be’s own words: “When we were high school students, San Juan became the spot for our dates. Mom & dad would take us to the ferry, and we would go to San Juan to have ‘picnics’ or just walk. We spent many of our weekends there and we discovered coffee shops. I didn’t like coffee, he was a barista…you can guess what the end of this story is.” Well, I’m sure we can all guess by these pictures I’m about to share!
