Getting Ready First Look with Dad
Okay, I am obsessed with the styling in this wedding. Stepping into the bride’s room, I was LOVING the color palette and the selection of robes for the bridesmaids (went perfect with their mimosa toast). I especially adored Robin’s bouquet with its unique combination of dried eucalyptus and roses. After getting ready with the help of her two mothers, the bride wanted to do a first look with her father. His reaction was pure gold! It was hard to not get emotional myself while photographing it. At Jose’s (the groom’s) room, the groomsmen were having a great time getting ready. Jose had prepared a special gift for them, the highlight being custom beer mugs that they got to use right away with some Medallas.
Indoor Ceremony at La Concha’s Atrium
Due to windy and rainy weather conditions, the ceremony had to be moved inside. Robin & Jose had planned it at the beach, but the lush and light filled Suite Tower Atrium went perfectly with their altar setting. The Atrium is one of my favorite spots to photograph in La Concha, although its not as popular as other areas of the hotel. Robin and Jose’s ceremony was sweet, short and straight to the point. After they said I do, we had a short walk around the hotel’s indoor areas for their newlywed photos.
Reception at Salon Mirador
Robin and Jose’s wedding was full of cheery, fun moments and their reception was no exception. This couple enjoyed every second together and so did their guests. An important detail to mention: instead of wedding favors, they donated to those still affected by Hurricane Maria in the island. They also invited their guests to do the same. Of course, after much dancing, their night ended with a sparkler send off. Props to MIA Eventos’ team for making it happen in extremely windy conditions!
