Mystic, CT SAME SEX Wedding

I adore traveling, so imagine my excitement when a couple asks me to travel to shoot their wedding. As I arrived to Mystic in Connecticut for Bianca & Emma’s big day, I fell in love with the quaint, 19th-century coastal village. It was a chilly rainy morning as I began capturing the brides getting ready. I had to hold back my own tears as I witnessed both brides share touching moments with their mothers before leaving to their first look. When the brides met, the rain stopped, and it was pure bliss and laughter. After exchanging gifts, they covered each other’s heads with the kippah, all in awe of each other. Following their Jewish tradition they signed the ketubah (prenuptial agreement) and proceeded to say their I-do’s under a wedding canopy, the chuppah. Everyone shouted ‘mazel tov’ in unison as the couple broke the glass and eagerly shared their first kiss as newlyweds. Of course, B&E were all smiles as we strolled through the historic seaport for portraits. After the standard reception protocol, everyone joined in the dance floor for the traditional hora, or Jewish chair dance. Needless to say — their reception was amazingly fun. Bianca and Emma: thank you for trusting me for such an important day, I am convinced you will have an eternity of happiness!
